More specifically, the company is sponsoring the ??Best Conceptual Exterior Design Award??, the winner of which will be announced, along with the winners of the other categories, at a special awards ceremony and reception to be held on Friday, 29 September, 2006 at La Galeria, in Paris, France during Le Mondial de l??Automobile (the Paris Motor Show).
Now in their fourth year and designed to appeal to and encourage young designers and automotive stylists, the Interior Motives Design Awards 2006 have already attracted strong interest from students of transportation and industrial design from around the world. Initial judging has already begun of the more than 200 entrees expected from some 20 countries by the time registrations close.
The judging panel for the 2006 Awards comprises chief designers, design directors and senior executives from many of the world??s leading automotive companies and their suppliers, including Bentley Motors, BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Design Centre Europe, Faurecia, Fiat, Lancia & Fiat Light Commercial Vehicles, GME Design, Intier Automotive, Johnson Controls and Volkswagen.
